After six months of age, baby’s evolving needs call for the introduction of appropriate complementary foods

After 6 months of age, breast milk is insufficient to meet the requirements of some nutrients, particularly energy, protein, iron, zinc and vitamins A and D. Offering nutrient dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, meats and fortified infant cereals can help avoid potential ‘nutrition gaps’ as your child grows.
